3) Maintenance
After your initial treatment is complete, it is recommended that you schedule a follow-up appointment every 4-6 years to maintain your result.
What Causes Hair Loss?
It’s natural for people to lose some hair as they age. In fact, most men will lose some hair by the time they reach middle age. But sometimes hair loss can be a sign of a more serious medical condition. There are many things that can cause hair loss, including:
Genetics: If hair loss runs in your family, you may be more likely to experience it yourself.
Hormonal changes: Hair loss can be a side effect of certain medical conditions, such as an overactive or underactive thyroid gland. It can also happen after childbirth or during menopause.
Medical treatments: Chemotherapy and radiation therapy for cancer can cause hair loss.
Autoimmune disorders: Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disorder that causes patchy hair loss. In this condition, the body’s immune system attacks the hair follicles, causing the hair to fall out in patches.
Scalp infections: Ringworm of the scalp is a fungal infection that can cause hair loss.
Certain medications: Hair loss is a possible side effect of certain drugs, such as those used to treat cancer, arthritis, depression, heart problems, and high blood pressure.

What does the treatment involve?
Scalp micro pigmentation (SMP) is a cosmetic procedure that involves tattooing pigment into the scalp to create the appearance of thicker, fuller hair. SMP can be used to cover up areas of hair loss or thinning, or it can be used to create a completely new look.
During the treatment, a small needle is used to deposit pigment into the upper layers of the skin. The number of sessions required will depend on the extent of your hair loss. Most people will need 3-5 sessions to achieve their desired results.
After the treatment is complete, it is important to follow all aftercare instructions to ensure the best possible results. Maintenance appointments every 4-6 years are recommended to keep your results looking their best.
